At least one week ago, on 1st July 2016, an Icelandic website “The Reykjavik Grapevine” reported that a large number of Icelandic women have attested on Facebook that they experienced practically spammed with friend requests from unrecognized men outside the Iceland. The latest population data of Iceland has indicated the excess of men not women. It has been confirmed that the government of Island didn’t offer any reward or grant for immigrants marrying Icelanders. The Danish embassy in Egypt is responsible to manage affairs of Iceland in the region indicated that a number of men requested to take part in the alleged scheme and the officials have posted on Facebook about cancelation of the rumor.
