Halloween weekend mass shootings in the US left dozens of people injured and at least 12 people killed on Saturday and Sunday. The Gun Violence Archive said 12 victims died as a result of mass shootings in Florida, California, Kentucky, Texas, Colorado, and Illinois on Saturday and Sunday. More than 64 people were wounded in mass shootings on Saturday and Sunday. However, Illinois reportedly had the highest number of casualties, with 20 people wounded and 2 people killed in two separate mass shootings. Two people were killed and over a dozen were injured in an overnight shooting at a suburban Chicago Halloween party. The authorities said a patrol sergeant went to a home in Joliet when he heard at least a dozen gunshots. He found that more than 100 people fled a party. The shooting happened outside near a DJ booth set up in the backyard and about 200 people attended the Halloween party.

Four people were shot at a home in Flossmoor, Illinois, and 4 people were also wounded when shots rang out early Saturday morning at a house party in the city of Decatur. More than 100 revelers were reportedly at the home at the time, and investigators believe multiple people fired their weapons. 12 people were wounded and 2 were killed in a pair of shootings in Texas on Saturday and Sunday. An 18-year-old woman was killed and 3 teens were injured in Houston, on Sunday when a fight broke out at a party. One person was killed and 9 others were injured at another Halloween party on Saturday. At least 200 people were at the party at an event center when gunfire erupted. 3 people were killed and 8 others were injured in 2 mass shootings on Saturday in California.

One person was killed and 3 others were injured during a shooting at a city council member’s home in Gilroy, Northern California. The victims’ ages range from 17 to 19 years. The suspected gunman, 19-year-old Benjamin David Calderon was arrested in connection with the homicide. 5 people were injured and 2 were killed at a party in Sacramento. One person was killed and 4 others were wounded at an outdoor boxing event in Saint Petersburg on Saturday. 21-years old Robert Lee Cooley was charged with the discharge of a firearm in public and carrying a concealed firearm. 2 people were shot and two others were killed following an argument at a Louisville Circle K gas station on Sunday. Colorado news station 9 News reported 4 people were injured, including 2 who died, following a shooting in a parking lot on West Alameda Avenue in Lakewood.
