Why Senior Vice President of Uber Forced to Resign?

The most valuable Senior Vice President (engineering) of Uber, Amit Singhal has been urged to leave the company. It was due to some reports arrived that he was implicated in a case of sexual harassment at the time he was an employ at Google. Recode has indicated that Singhal was working with Uber for the last one year, but Uber had discovered allegations against him by Recode just one week ago. Singhal was well-known as a strong figure within the search giant, but he was unable to mention the reasons to his new employer regarding his separation from Google. But, Uber has confirmed that their own specific background checks didn’t find such allegations against him.

Why Senior Vice President of Uber Forced to Resign?

Point to be noted that Singhal disputed those accusations with HR head of Google and the CEO Sundar Pichai, but the internal investigation of the search giant reportedly discovered them to be convincing. The sources of Recode have indicated that Singhal decided to resign on his own, but he was on the edge of getting fired. He also received a warm farewell party and posted a sincere goodbye on Google Plus. But, having noticeable sexual harassment allegations against him and it has been considered negative impression for Uber. The company is currently in the mid-way of public convincing and experiencing crisis in dealing with its own allegations of general internal sexism. It is important that the CEO of Uber, Travis Kalanick asked resignation from Singhal.
