The House Speaker Paul Ryan tweeted for his photograph and a number of Capitol Hill interns on his Instragram page on 16th July 2016 vaunted that it would supposedly be beaten a record for the massive numbers of Capitol Hill interns in a single selfie. This tweet got more popularity online, but with a number of different reasons than one tweeted by Ryan. It was apparently documented that ethnic diversification among Republican interns on Capitol Hill was practically fictional. A Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee of Texas posted a photograph a couple of days before getting popularity of the image of Ryan. The post of Jackson Lee was more divergent-looking group of Democratic interns.

Point to be noted that both photographs were original, but the assessment was deceptive because of the general assumption and the photograph of Ryan was showing Republican interns only. The photograph of Paul Ryan was originally captured on an event of Congressional Summer Intern Lecture Series in 2016 and both parties were invited in this event. But, Ryan assumingly captured a large crowd of Republicans, so it will not be classify this specific image showing only Republican interns. RJ Khalaf was an intern for Congressman André Carson, he said that the image is not specifically indicatory of diversification on Capitol Hill entirely, instead of among one party or the other. Alma Adams is a Democratic Congressman and co-sponsored a bill in order to improve diversification in workplace such as Capitol Hill said that the photograph of Ryan should be considered a proof to do more work.
