A number of media outlets published falsely-titled articles in the month of January 2017. Most of them reported that a man named Eric Bramwell resident of Illinois had been sentenced to prison for 22 years due to stealing a remote control. We have found that it is correct that Bramwell stole a remote control and it is also correct that he was sentenced to prison for 22 years. But, stealing of remote control wasn’t just the reason and there were some other factors contributed in sending him to prison. The Daily Herald reported that a local newspaper indicated that Bramwell has a massive criminal record and he was considered a serial thief.

During his court trial, prosecutors attached a number of other burglaries with Bramwell. The Attorney of County State Robert Berlin indicated in a written statement that illegal activities and history of Bramwell have been caught up with him. Regardless the stolen item, Bramwell again and again thumbed his nose at the law. The criminal history of Bramwell has made him qualified for Class X sentencing. This class has been considered the most serious charges in Illinois State. This felony often applied for the first degree murder & includes a considerable amount of time in the prison. 35-years old Bramwell will serve at least 50% of his 22-years sentence before his eligibility for parole.
