Listen to this articleOn 25th August 2015, a Reddit user published a thread (but now it has been removed from account) with a title that ‘ A letter received by my daughter’s friend from school about a Wonder Woman lunchbox has a picture of a super hero which doesn’t meet with dress code of school.’ This thread said school letter informed to her parents that a young girl’s Wonder Woman lunchbox looking ‘too violent’ having a picture on it of a violent super hero. School administration said in the letter that ‘We have found that Laura is having a Wonder Woman lunchbox with an image of a violent super hero. It doesn’t meet with the school dress code and we stopped her not to bring it to the school.
School also added that ‘We have informed earlier to all the school students not to bring such kinds of violent images into the school campus or any kind of fashion on their clothing, lunchboxes or backpacks. These violent images identifies that violence can solve problems, so, please follow the specific dress code defined in the school handbook’. This story picked up by a number of websites such as The Mary Sue and Uproxx. We have found that school name, city or any state location was not mentioned in this story, and didn’t find the specific school name from this letter was delivered to the student’s parents. It is considered that Reddit user rack up karma which is being used for favor and credibility of site’s point based system.
