The article also referred a document issued on July 2015 which was issued by the Secretary of State to Illinois DMV office about religious head covering (head-bags). The Secretary of state’s office has forwarded reminders to the Motor Vehicle Department that ‘articles of faith’ is legally allowed. The Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) also complained that a number of Muslim women protested against removing head-coverings for driving license photograph.
