Famous Singer & Songwriter Holly Dunn Died at 59

People magazine has reported that a Texas-born Singer & Songwriter Holly Dunn has died due to ovarian cancer on 15th November 2016. She had top 10 country recordings and one of her well-known singles, “Are You Ever Gonna Love Me” reached at number one in the year 1989 and another famous one “You Really Had Me Going” got top level in the charts in 1990. A number of her fellow singers and musicians have expressed their respect and feelings on the death of Dunn. She was born on 22nd August 1957 in San Antonio, Texas. Dunn started her performance in secondary school and started her professional musical career from Nashville after completion her college study.

She wrote a number of songs for several years as co-writer with her brother Chris Waters. She presented a hit-song for Louise Mandrel “I’m Not through Loving You Yet”. She also released her own first single in the year 1985 and her first album was released in 1986. Dunn became a morning radio DJ and a TV personality on the Nashville network. CMT pointed out that she also faced controversy in 1991, when she released her single “Maybe I Mean Yes”. Her famous top 10 hits include “You Really Had Me Going” and “Daddy’s Hands”. She left her musical career in 2003 and again became a successful painter and sold her works in her co-owned art gallery in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Her ovarian cancer was diagnosed in the month of June 2016 and passed away on 15th November 2016.
