A photograph was circulated online in the month of December 2016 supposedly showing a Great White Shark jumping out of the water along with a claim that the published photograph is an award-winning picture capture by the National Geographic. Point to be noted that National Geographic didn’t give any award to this alleged photograph and it wasn’t captured by Bob Burton (the chief photographer of the magazine). The chief photographer Bob Burton is not actually their “Chief Photographer” and he was not listed on their website, and he may not be existed.

The published photograph was originally created by a Russian 3D graphic artist as he mentioned his profile name as “Alexyz3d” in the shutter-stock profile. He had created various other digitally altered or changed images of Great White Sharks jumping from the water. In the meanwhile, “Alexyz3d” was unable to provide more related information regarding how this published image was created. All created photographs were quoted with specific terms like (Computer Graphics) CG, (Effects) FX and (Self-Explanatory) 3D.
